Sound on RPi version ....

I like the desktop !

But,

1) volume control has some effect but won't turn down

2) sound from HDMI but not headphone jack

My system works fine with Raspbian.
I tried adjusting the KMix settings, but to no avail.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Sound on RPi version ....

You could use PulseAudio volume control too, run in terminal:
$ pavucontrol
or
$ pavucontrol-qt
Q4OS is based on Raspbian, so settings should be the same.

Re: Sound on RPi version ....

from the terminal alsamixer has full control

from the tray the Kmix sliders (full swing) only slightly move the alsa control

Raspbian does not have Kmix

#edit

VLC volume slider works
Sonic Pi volume works

Possibly Kmixer is for X86 systems ? ( wild guess (newbie here) )

No it's compiled for Raspbian, so ARM architecture. Please follow the documentation https://www.q4os.org/dqa011.html#install.3 . Does "Pavucontrol" work ?
