"Select All" actually "Invert Selection"

I record 1 minute videos on my trail camera. In a 24 hour period there may be 100 or more avi files written to the MicroSD card. When I read the card on my desktop with konqueror I sometimes will play the first file. I then copy them all to my hard drive. I have found that if I then do an  "edit" > "select" > "select all" it selects all except the file I have selected. I tried manually selecting the first 5 files and then the "select all" would select everything except the 5 I had selected. This is more of an "invert selection" than a "select all".
Not a big problem for me, but someone could lose some important files from doing this.

Re: "Select All" actually "Invert Selection"

This is absolutely correct with Select All or Ctrl-A - it happens if you have accessed a file with an app outside konqueror.
If you use Select Ctrl++ and * in the selection box then it does get them all.
Not clever - I did lose a few photos because of this but was able to get them back as I realised what had happened immediately due to numbers.

Yes, we agree, it should be improved. We will submit a bug for TDE devs at their bugtracker.
