Problem with KDialog

All shown in video. Can not open files from USB drive if to choose "Removable devices".

I have had this type of error before, it is because storage media in Konqueror does not use the path to the mounted volume, I think it must create and use a link to the volume somehow. If you notice from the path at the top of the file selection dialog it is showing media:/sdb1/etc/etc and this path does not exist, but when you go from your /media/user/path/to/file it is a real path and works.
I know this is not a solution but hopefully it will help understand what Konqueror is doing differently (Kdialog is just showing the error produced from Konqueror).
