Q4os won't boot

I love Q4os on my semi-old computer but I'm trying to revive an old Dell Dimension 2400 32 bit from 2006. XP, some Puppys, and Legacy os version 2 (but not later ones) boot and run fine but Q4os and a few other linuxes won't bpot from a live disc. I just get a bunch of error messages OR XP starts immediately. Bios is set to boot from DVD first.

Any ideas to try out there?

Re: Q4os won't boot

A few questions first:
- Does the CPU support PAE extension ?
- What Q4OS media do you attempt to boot ? Please specify a .iso file you have downloaded and burnt.
- Did you check the md5sum of the file ?

We can recommend you to also try to boot and install from the i386 installation CD, see the "Installation CD" section here https://q4os.org/downloads1.html
