Thunderbird Update Issue

I ran a Command Line Update on (dist-upgrade) and in the middle of the update,it said Thunderbird had update issues. It gave me a few selections, but the default was to keep it the same (N) which I did. Now, I can't send any emails. I removed it at Synaptic, and re-installed it, but to no avail...any suggestions...?

Re: Thunderbird Update Issue

At first we would suggest you to backup and remove the current user configuration. It should be stored in '$HOME/.thunderbird/' folder, so rename it, run the Thunderbird, make a fresh new configuration and test it. Next, you will need to revert to the original configuration and export, import all your emails.
