Shadow borders

Please is there any way to remove the shadow borders from behind my desktop apps such as Superkaramba and the one shown here?

Go to Control Centre -> Desktop -> Window Behaviour and select the translucency tab then select the shadows tab and de-select the "Use shadows on windows. This should set it globally for all windows.
