Apt-get update source.list problem / Synaptic keeps on crashing

Hi everyone,
I hope you can help me. Synaptic keeps on crashing and I suppose it has to deal with the souces list.
When I am updating in the terminal I get following message after apt-get update:

Re: Apt-get update source.list problem / Synaptic keeps on crashing

As far as I am aware Q4OS doe not use any Debian Sid repositories so my guess is that you have added a repository incorrectly. maybe if you posted your sources her we could see what is wrong, of special interest would be the sources you have added . You could post the output of apt policy too which might help.

You might have used a capital letter for the component (sid) which is causing that error.

Re: Apt-get update source.list problem / Synaptic keeps on crashing

Hi Dai! Thanks for the hint the SID repo didn't appear in the sourcelist.d but in the sourcelist directly. Simply deleted.

I really don't know which package I installed  to get this repo. Anyhow. I searched a lot of broken packages and downgraded a lot of them.
Everything is running smoothly now. Synaptic was a segmentation fault error. I could start and install package but once I clicked on Files or settings the program chrashed.. Found out it was the libgtk3 file which caused the crashes. Downgraded it and now synaptic runs fine. Greetings to UK from Texas.
