Edit Window Specific Settings

I recently changed the window specific settings for Firefox, which involved removing the title bar and border, but now I cannot see how to reactivate the tiltle bar so that I can change the settings again. My attempts so far have included completely removing Firefox with Synaptic and then purging the configuration files to complete the removal. However, when I subsequently did a clean reinstall, the problem remained, which seems to indicate that the windows specific settings for Firefox are maintained separately. I shall be grateful for any advice from more experienced users as to how I can reinstate the title bar of my Firefox window.

Re: Edit Window Specific Settings

When you disabled the border a dialog should have popped up saying

dialog wrote:

Without the border, you will not be able to enable the border again using the mouse: use the window operations menu instead, activated using the Window Operations Menu (Alt+Ctrl+Menu) keyboard shortcut.

So Alt+Ctrl+Menu should give you access to Window Operations again.

If you were looking for a full screen look without creating more issues, just use F11 to remove the title bar and address area, then hit it again to return to a normal screen.

Re: Edit Window Specific Settings

Thank you both for your advice.

I did read the message about using the Alt+Ctrl+Menu combination but moved on because I could not see a menu key on my keyboard.

What I should have done is research menu key and I would have learnt that it is also called the applications key and that it usually resides next to the right ctrl key.

Needless to say, that after using the key for the first time in my life, my problem was resolved although I will probably just stick to F11 in the future.
