Screensaver issue
Hello,
Could it be that the screensaver does not start automatically? I found that after installation of Q4OS (on several computers) and setting the screensaver to polygon and disabling password, the screensaver does not start. Only after ticking 'start automatically' off and on, the screensaver becomes active. When restarting the computer, the same issue seems to arise again.
Is this a known issue?

Yes, we can confirm the issue. We will investigate it in more detail to decide, whether and how to file it at TDE bug-tracker.

We have found some connections. If you enable DPMS power saving, the screensaver will start to work correctly. To enable DPMS go to:
Control panel -> Peripherals -> Display -> Power control tab -> check "Enable display power management" checkbox
The same issue is reproducible on a clean TDE installation, if DPMS settings are disabled. We are going to file a bug at TDE bugtracker.

Thank you for your quick response.
I was also able to reproduce this issue on a clean debian 8.7 installation with the latest Trinity desktop. I disabled global DPMS as well as the user settings. After a new login the screensaver did not start.
Interesting bug. I found out because I often disable power saving on desktop computers and only use the screensaver. Hopefully this bug will be fixed with the next TDE release.

The suggested DPMS settings worked for me in RPi3... Now the screensaver works correctly!

Yes, this bug is workarounded in Q4OS 1.8.4, but the complete fix has to be made by TDE developers.
