Bleachbit is it Good or Bad?

Some ppl l say it's good some ppl say it's bad.
I want to see what's Q4OS community think about Bleachbit?
Since Bleachbits seems the only GUI tool to clean privacy & temps on Linux.
Which also exist for Windows as well. But most Windows users take attention to CCleaner.

Re: Bleachbit is it Good or Bad?

Hi Seeker. I think Bleachbit can be good if you are careful. I don't use it myself. I've tried it before and it seems too aggressive.

For as long as I have been using Linux, in the terminal I run;

sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get clean

This has always kept my systems clean and running without any problems. Also, from time to time, to clean out the thumbnail cache I run;

$ rm -f /home/mc/.thumbnails/normal/*.png
$ rm -f /home/mc/.thumbnails/large/*.png

I've also got an Asus eee with an SSD running Crunchbang. This one gets an extra command to TRIM the drive;

sudo fstrim -v/

The handy part of doing all this in the terminal is that the terminal remembers the last 50 commands, so all I do is arrow-up to reuse them.

Re: Bleachbit is it Good or Bad?

Thank you for confirmations I'll decide not to make tutotial about installing BleachBit.
To prevent users go wrong direction with this software.

I mostly use
sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get clean

But don't know about other clean commands.
